Canby had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Hood River Valley Eagles by a score of 6-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Canby's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hood River Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
