Football Recap: Woodcreek Comes Up Short on the Road Against Granite Bay

Woodcreek had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granite Bay Grizzlies on Thursday. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Granite Bay found their leader in sophomore Leilani Teaupa, who rushed for 50 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 77 receiving yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodcreek will square off against Rocklin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Granite Bay, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Del Oro at 7:30 p.m. on September 9.
