Mapleton extended their winning streak to 12 on Thursday, bumping them up to 12-0. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Crestview Cougars, sneaking past 5-3. For the Mounties, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

As for Crestview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered against Mapleton since May 16, 2022.

For Crestview's part, Allison Volz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bria White, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Mapleton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-7 win against Plymouth on the 20th. As for Crestview, they have also already played their next game, a 17-3 victory against Elgin on the 17th.
