Baseball Recap: Titusville Comes Up Short

Titusville was the 6-4 winner over Astronaut when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Titusville Terriers fell just short of the Astronaut War Eagles by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Terriers have suffered against the War Eagles since May 2, 2022.

Titusville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Edwards, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Titusville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Astronaut, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7.

The future could be bright for both Titusville and Astronaut: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Titusville will try to hand Cocoa Beach their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Astronaut will look to extend Cocoa's eight-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
