The Santa Fe Raiders will take on the Union County Fightin' Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Santa Fe had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Suwannee put an end to it on Tuesday. The Raiders fell 6-1 to the Bulldogs. Raiders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Tuesday.

Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Whitworth, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Union County came up short against West Nassau on Wednesday, falling 13-4.

Jeffrey Brugh and Kendall Carter stepped up to the plate in a big way. Brugh scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Carter scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base was Carter's first of the season. DEVIN DIGGS was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Union County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Santa Fe might still be hurting after the 9-2 loss they got from Union County in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
