Softball Recap: Eufaula Takes a Loss

Eufaula's last matchup with Wicksburg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Eufaula Tigers came up short against the Wicksburg Panthers, falling 13-2. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in February of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eufaula saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zy'Kayla Robinson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Eufaula and nudges their season record down to 5-12-1. As for Wicksburg, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Eufaula didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against Headland on the 18th. As for Wicksburg, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Rehobeth on the 15th.
