Soccer Game Preview: Albemarle vs. South Stanly

Albemarle is 2-8 against South Stanly since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Albemarle is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against North Stanly on Wednesday. Neither the Bulldogs nor the Comets could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, South Stanly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to Gray Stone Day. Things were pretty much settled by the half as South Stanly were already down 11-1.

Albemarle's draw makes their record 2-3-1 this season. As for South Stanly, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Albemarle took their victory against South Stanly when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rowdy Rebel Bulls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
