Basketball Game Preview: Madison Patriots vs. Rosman Tigers

Madison hasn't had much luck against Rosman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Madison Patriots will face off against the Rosman Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-35, which was the final score in Madison's tilt against Asheville on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Cougars are ranked 182nd).

Meanwhile, Rosman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Mountain Heritage 64-21.

Rosman's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Things could have been worse for Madison, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-19 loss to Rosman when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Madison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
