Greenwich extended their winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Hector Lopez(C). The Cardinals really took it to the Notre Dame Green Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 38-7 victory thanks in part to Lopez(C), who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Lopez(C) is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 124 every time he's taken the field this season.

Another player making a difference was Jack Kelly(C), who rushed for 17 yards and a pair of TDs. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Greenwich's record now sits at 3-0. As for Notre Dame, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Greenwich will challenge Westhill at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Notre Dame, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-27 defeat against Law on the 3rd.
