Basketball Game Preview: Trego Golden Eagles vs. Smith Center Redmen

The Trego Golden Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Smith Center Redmen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.

Trego is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Norton on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Trego lost 51-29 to Norton.

Meanwhile, Smith Center came up short against Minneapolis on Thursday and fell 57-49.

Smith Center's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Trego, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Things could have been worse for Trego, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-27 loss to Smith Center in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Trego avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
