Baseball Game Preview: Tomball Memorial Wildcats vs. Klein Bearkats

For the second straight game, Tomball Memorial will face off against Klein. The Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Bearkats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tomball Memorial took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Klein. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Mason Flores looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Tomball Memorial: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most three hits, but 11-13-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Cole Peterson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Joey Aguilar, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Tomball Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Klein is on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12-1. As for Tomball Memorial, the win got them back to even at 15-15-1.
