Tampa Prep waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Owensboro Red Devils. That's two games straight that the Terrapins have won by exactly four runs.

Will Futch was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since March 5th.

Tampa Prep hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

The win got Tampa Prep back to even at 10-10. As for Owensboro, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Coming up, Tampa Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Berkeley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terrapins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Owensboro, they will head out to challenge Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
