Softball Recap: Kermit Comes Up Short

Kermit managed to slip by Littlefield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Yellow Jackets lost 14-2 to the Wildcats on Friday. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kermit saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Valenzuela, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Valenzuela's first of the season.

Kermit's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Littlefield, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Kermit will challenge Shallowater at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Littlefield, they will welcome Pecos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
