Volleyball Recap: Norton Falls Despite Big Games from Olivia Alexander and Halle Pfannenstiel

Norton was the 2-0 winner over Goodland when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bluejays fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Norton's loss came despite strong showings from Halle Pfannenstiel and Olivia Alexander. Pfannenstiel had 22 digs and two aces, while Alexander had seven digs and two aces. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Norton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Goodland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Norton has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Beloit on the 20th. As for Goodland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Hoisington on the 20th.
