Basketball Recap: HEARTS for Jesus Christ Drops Season-High Score on Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask HEARTS for Jesus Christ). They blew past Varsity Opponent 53-28 on Wednesday. The Guardians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haven Anthony, who went 10-for-15 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. Anthony is becoming a predictor of HEARTS for Jesus Christ's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Carenna Lewis, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 rebounds and nine steals.
