Softball Recap: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Batavia Bulldogs
There's no place like home for Metea Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Batavia Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Monday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Charlie Benesh made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs.
