Softball Game Preview: Lynn Camp Wildcats vs. Clay County Tigers

The Lynn Camp Wildcats will face off against the Clay County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lynn Camp fell victim to Harlan and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Green Dragons, falling 22-0.

Meanwhile, Clay County also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to North Laurel on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost seven in a row.

Lynn Camp has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Clay County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Lynn Camp was able to grind out a solid win over Clay County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
