Baseball Recap: Fallston Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

While Fallston's win against Bel Air wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 9-7. Nine seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Luca Santoro and Tyler Conrad did most of the damage at the plate: Santoro went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Conrad went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Conrad has posted since back in March. Aiden Stromberger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win (which was Fallston's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Bel Air, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Fallston will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
