Basketball Game Preview: Graves County Eagles vs. McCracken County Mustangs

The Graves County Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the McCracken County Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Graves County is coming into the match hot, having won their last 20 games.

Graves County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Calloway County, who was ranked 21st at the time (Graves County was ranked 14th). Graves County put the hurt on Calloway County with a sharp 61-38 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, McCracken County beat Murray 41-31 on Tuesday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Graves County's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points over those games. As for McCracken County, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Graves County took their victory against McCracken County in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 65-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Graves County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
