The West Grand Mustangs will challenge the Mancos Bluejays at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Grand is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
West Grand is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Hayden, who was ranked 23rd at the time (West Grand was ranked 11th). The Mustangs took down the Tigers 48-32 on Friday.

It was another big night for Landon Lockhart, who rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Those 233 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Blake Terryberry was another major influence, as he rushed for 62 yards and ran in a TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Grand was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 437 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 213 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
Another reason for the win was West Grand's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jake Trail, Drake Bustillos, and Conner Stone, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, after only six points in their last contest, Mancos made sure to put some points up on the board against Sargent on Friday. The Bluejays blew past the Farmers, posting a 48-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Mancos' win came from a few key players West Grand will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Michael Resner, who rushed for 128 yards and one score, and also threw for 45 yards and a pair of TDs. He is becoming a predictor of Mancos' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Jonah H Ritter also helped out as he racked up 126 rushing yards.
West Grand's record now sits at 8-1. As for Mancos, their record is now 6-3.
Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. West Grand has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 278.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Mancos struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 228.1 rushing yards.
