Clear Springs waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 26-7 win over the Brazoswood Buccaneers. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Buccaneers are ranked 395th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clear Springs had a senior duo take command as Kody Rosas threw for 122 yards and three touchdowns and Daran Bolden rushed for 127 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.

Clear Springs' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Brazoswood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Clear Springs and Brazoswood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Chargers see the field they'll take on Clear Falls at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Brazoswood, their break will end when they face Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
