Preview: World of Inquiry Griffins vs. Monroe Red Jackets
World of Inquiry has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Monroe Red Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Thursday, World of Inquiry sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over School of the Arts.
World of Inquiry can attribute much of their success to Jaedon Adams, who scored 22 points, and Deandre Leonard , who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least 25% of World of Inquiry's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yacoub Tarawally, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Monroe beat McQuaid Jesuit 67-60 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Monroe.
World of Inquiry now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
