Baseball Recap: Parker Takes a Loss

Parker managed to slip by Chino Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Broncs came up short against the Cougars on Thursday, falling 11-4. The Broncs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

Fernando Baldenegro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Oscar Ortega, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Parker has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Chino Valley, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10-1.

Coincidentally, Parker and Chino Valley will both be playing Tonopah Valley the next time they take the field. The Broncs will head out to face the Phoenix at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
