Baseball Game Preview: Oliver Ames Tigers vs. New Bedford Whalers

The Oliver Ames Tigers will head out to face off against the New Bedford Whalers at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Oliver Ames is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They fell 6-2 to King Philip Regional. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly four runs.

Meanwhile, New Bedford fell victim to Middleborough and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Sachems by a score of 2-0. Whalers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Sachems since on Wednesday.

Oliver Ames' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for New Bedford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
