Basketball Recap: Harrison Extends Winning Streak to Five

Harrison extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Malachi King. The Harrison Raiders breezed by the Benton Central Bison to the tune of 66-33 on Friday thanks in part to King, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Harrison is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for Benton Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Harrison has already played their next matchup, an 82-62 victory against Merrillville on the 25th. As for Benton Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-36 loss against Rensselaer Central on the 25th.
