Basketball Recap: White Knoll Takes a Loss

White Knoll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Silver Foxes are ranked 31st).

Leading Dutch Fork to victory were Bryson Taylor and Justus Bell. Taylor went 10 for 18 en route to 30 points, while Bell went 5 of 12 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Those 30 points gave Taylor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Coleman, who posted four points and six boards.

White Knoll now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Dutch Fork, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

White Knoll has already played their next match (against Irmo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dutch Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-36 victory against Lexington on the 17th.
