Softball Game Preview: Uxbridge Spartans vs. Leominster Blue Devils

The Uxbridge Spartans will face off against the Leominster Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Uxbridge has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Uxbridge is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to Advanced Math & Science Academy.

Leominster's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Uxbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Uxbridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Leominster struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts.
