Basketball Recap: Xenia Comes Up Short

Xenia lost against Sidney back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Xenia Buccaneers had to suffer through a 77-35 loss at the hands of the Sidney Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 634th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 217th).

Xenia's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Sidney, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Xenia will face off against Tippecanoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sidney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stebbins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sidney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Stebbins likes a good challenge.
