Volleyball Game Preview: Millennium Lions vs. Phoenix Academy Firebirds

The Millennium Lions will face off against the Phoenix Academy Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Phoenix Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Millennium, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Millennium got the win against Legacy Athletics by a conclusive 3-0.

While Millennium won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 29-27.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Academy came up short against Bethany Community on Thursday and fell 3-1.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bethany Community scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 24-26, 25-22, 25-22.

Millennium has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Phoenix Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Millennium took their win against Phoenix Academy in their previous matchup last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Firebirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
