Baseball Recap: Tonasket Beats Manson for Their Third Straight Victory

While Tonasket's win against Manson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Trojans 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Isaiah Spangler made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Tonasket's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 5-2 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Spangler was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jesse Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Tonasket's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Manson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Tonasket nor Manson have any future games scheduled.
