Baseball Recap: Wellington School Comes Up Short

Wellington School fell victim to Bishop Rosecrans and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Bishops by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Jaguars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wellington School's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Bishop Rosecrans, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wellington School is set to take on their familiar foe Grove City Christian at 5:05 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans will square off against rival Berne Union at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bishops 3.2, the Rockets 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
