Softball Recap: Crest Ridge's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Crest Ridge dropped their record down to 15-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 3-0 to the Concordia Fighting Orioles. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Concordia, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games.

For Concordia's part, not much got past Olivia Hemme, who gave up just two hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Crest Ridge off the board. Hemme has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Concordia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Roepe, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Roepe has posted since back in April.

As of now, neither Crest Ridge nor Concordia have any future games scheduled.
