Coconino is 9-1 against Flagstaff since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Coconino Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Flagstaff Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Coconino lost to Cactus Shadows at home by a 71-53 margin. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Flagstaff played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Prescott, falling 75-33. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Badgers are ranked 14th).

Coconino's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Flagstaff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coconino was able to grind out a solid win over Flagstaff in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 55-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coconino since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
