After losing to Destin the last time they met, Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Jaguars walked away with a 4-0 win over the Sharks on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Tenley Smarr made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Smarr was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Smarr wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Blair, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Maryanne Gunter also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Central's record now sits at 9-5. As for Destin, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge Escambia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Destin, they will take on Pensacola Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
