Preview: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Jupiter Warriors
The Treasure Coast Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Jupiter Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Treasure Coast comes in on seven and Jupiter on 17.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Treasure Coast walked away with it. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over the Gators on Tuesday. Given Treasure Coast's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Palm Beach Gardens is ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Treasure Coast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyson Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bek Fleurissaint, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Jupiter gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Vero Beach as Jupiter made off with a 56-33 victory.
Treasure Coast is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Jupiter, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-2.
Treasure Coast didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jupiter when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 77-71 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Treasure Coast since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
