Owyhee piles up the points against Mineral County

The Owyhee Braves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 65-19 win over Mineral County. That 65-19 margin sets a new team best for Owyhee this season.
When it comes to explaining why Mineral County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chesney Wilson. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Wilson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Aleecia Majano was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Owyhee's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mineral County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owyhee will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Smith Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Smith Valley is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. Mineral County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eureka at 5:15 p.m. on December 16th. Eureka presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mineral County in Nevada (Eureka is ranked 18th, while Mineral County is ranked 90th).
