Baseball Game Preview: Abilene Eagles vs. Cooper Cougars

The Abilene Eagles will challenge the Cooper Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Abilene's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Cooper's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Abilene is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Memorial just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 7-5.

Frenship hit Cooper with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-3.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 11-20-1. As for Abilene, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Everything went Abilene's way against Cooper in their previous meeting back in March, as Abilene made off with a 7-0 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
