Volleyball Recap: Fort Bend Clements Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Fort Bend Dulles on Tuesday, Fort Bend Clements came back down to earth. The Rangers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Fort Bend Clements started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-13, 25-21.

Bella Garza had an outrageously good game for Fort Bend Austin as she had 33 digs and three aces. What's more, Garza posted four assists, the most she's had over her last five matchups.

Fort Bend Clements' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-16. As for Fort Bend Austin, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-16.

Fort Bend Clements wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Fort Bend Hightower on the 16th. As for Fort Bend Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Fort Bend Travis on the 16th.
