Basketball Recap: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Peninsula Catholic

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 75-50 to the Peninsula Catholic Knights on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sebastian Mitchell, who posted 16 points, and Jayden Stafford, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and seven boards.

The win keeps Peninsula Catholic at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will be playing at home against Brunswick Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peninsula Catholic, they will head out to challenge Gates County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
