Football Recap: Norwalk Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Norwalk put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Paramount Pirates. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Lancers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Diego Cerritos produced another solid performance rushing for 125 yards and one score while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Paramount, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Norwalk and Paramount will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Lancers see the field they'll take on Lynwood at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Paramount, their break will end when they face Dominguez at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
