Baseball Recap: Bellefontaine Comes Up Short

Bellefontaine lost against Benjamin Logan back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chieftains came up short against the Raiders, falling 9-2. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellefontaine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sutton Daring, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. The Chieftains are 4-1 when Daring posts two or more runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Jose Sandoval also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bellefontaine's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Benjamin Logan, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

While Bellefontaine had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
