Basketball Recap: Rantoul Skates Past Schlarman with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rantoul). They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 73-31 victory over the Schlarman Hilltoppers. The Eagles pushed the score to 62-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hilltoppers had no chance of recovering from.

Rantoul's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Schlarman, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Rantoul and Maroa-Forsyth will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Schlarman will take on Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
