Baseball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour managed to slip by Mendon Unity the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Seymour came up short against Mendon Unity on Tuesday, falling 28-9. One positive for the Indians, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Connor Howell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Miller, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Seymour and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Mendon Unity, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Seymour will take on Hamilton/Warsaw at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seymour is facing Hamilton/Warsaw at the right time seeing as Hamilton/Warsaw is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mendon Unity, they will be playing at home against Augusta Southeastern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
