Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Catholic can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 63-56 win over Trivium Prep. Considering the Lions' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

St. John Paul II Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Mountainside, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
