Soccer Game Preview: Hialeah vs. South Miami

The Hialeah Thoroughbreds will take on the South Miami Cobras in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hialeah's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Hialeah turned things around against Sunset on Thursday. Neither they nor the Knights could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Thoroughbreds' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, South Miami fell victim to Braddock and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 5-0. The Cobras have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

With that draw, Hialeah's record moves to 1-5-1. As for South Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Hialeah beat South Miami by a goal when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 1-0. Will Hialeah repeat their success, or does South Miami have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
