Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Lee-Scott Academy

Lee-Scott Academy came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Montgomery Catholic Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-7 back in February.

Harrison Short looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Barrett Cook was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Jackson, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Lee-Scott Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montgomery Catholic only posted a batting average of .250.

Lee-Scott Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Montgomery Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15-1 record this season.

Lee-Scott Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montgomery Catholic, they will challenge Pike Liberal Arts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
