Softball Recap: Mcmichael Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only McMichael walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Heide Trask Titans on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Phoenix as they're now sitting on four straight.

Lindsay Redmon was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, McMichael let Olivia Wilson and Ryleigh Cope run wild. Wilson went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Cope went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kora Ingle, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

McMichael was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heide Trask only posted a batting average of .042.

McMichael's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Heide Trask, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5.

As of now, neither McMichael nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
