Pittsfield and Taconic are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The Generals will venture away from home to square off against the Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittsfield is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Pittsfield came up short against Mount Greylock Regional on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Taconic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Drury 3-0 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thunder as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Taconic was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-19.

Taconic's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Pittsfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Pittsfield skirted past Taconic 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
