After a string of seven wins, Marshall's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sun Prairie West Wolves.

Marshall saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kierstin Hoel, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Makayla Nemec was another, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Sun Prairie West, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Marshall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Belleville on the 21st. As for Sun Prairie West, they have also already played their next match, a 15-1 loss against Middleton on the 22nd.
