The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks suffered a tough 12-5 loss at the hands of the Splendora Wildcats on Tuesday. Hardin-Jefferson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Terriana Canady made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Karynton Dawson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and a triple.
On Splendora's side, Avery Keel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Roberts, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Hardin-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Splendora, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing West Fork the next time they take the field. Splendora will host West Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hardin-Jefferson will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on April 5th.
